Bullying is a severe problem all around the world, and it needs to stop. At my school, we are expected to, or ideally, fit the 10 profile attributes; reflective, open-minded, inquirer, caring, communicator, principled, knowledgeable, balanced, risk-taker and thinker.
To make sure we don't hurt anyone online, my teacher (from 6th grade) gave us questions to ask ourselves before we post posts on our blog:
1. Is this something I want everyone to see?
2. Could someone find me (in real life) based on this information?
3. What could be the consequences of this post?
4. Who is going to look at this, and how are they going to interpret my words?
5. Do I have a good reason/purpose to do this?
6. What will I cause by writing this post?
7. Would I want someone to say this to me?
8. Would I want this post to be graded for proper grammar and spelling?
9. Is this inappropriate, immature or bullying?10. Who is the original creator of this work?
If all of the students at my school were completely perfect and could proudly present them as all of these attributes, there would never be a problem. But nobody's perfect. So it is still important we are aware what we say and do to make sure we don't hurt anybody physically or emotionally. We recently had a presentation and at one point it said something like this (I don't remember it exactly as it was in the presentation)...
Be careful of your thoughts.....they will turn into your words
Be careful of your words......they will turn into your actions
Be careful of your actions......they will turn into your habits
Be careful of your habits.....they become your character
Be careful of your character.....it will become YOU
I thought it is also important to think about this (it's also taken from the presentation, but I'm not exactly sure what is was)...

Who are you?
Or more importantly, who do you want to be?
