Academic Essay Format

In Humanities, we learned the format for academic essays, the format that we would use for the rest of our time in Canadian International School, at least. Before I state the format, I would like to say "An essay is like a hamburger". Without the bun of a hamburger, it wouldn't be satisfying, or having only the bun of the hamburger, wouldn't be satisfying as well.
