The Other Side of Truth by Beverley Naidoo

Here's Ta book review for The Other Side of Truth by Beverley Naidoo.

Sade and Femi's mother had been killed by the corrupt authorities of Nigeria! After receiving a threat from the authorities, their father, concerned for their safety, had Sade and Femi smuggled out of Nigeria and into London.

In this novel, I especially liked how Naidoo added Nigerian proverbs into the story. Also, I enjoyed the deeper meanings behind the names of characters. For example, "Sade" means "honor brings a crown", which definitely fits the main character, as understood as the story progresses. I personally thought that the names given to the characters were like snapshots of the character's heart.

Throughout their lives, they had been struggling with the Socs. Ponyboy had thought that the line separating the Socs and greasers was money. Socs had always been more privileged than the greasers. However, the greasers argued that their friendship was stronger.
